Split hair masks

If you find split ends, then there is only one way out, and you know it - scissors. Moreover, choose a proven master who has high-quality and sharp scissors, this is very important. Well, when you get rid of split ends, there is reason to think about what you are doing wrong in your hair care, that they split. To begin with, I advise you to read about the complex hair ends care at home, in which the points are laid out what needs to be done to make the ends of the hair look healthy. And of course, homemade masks for the ends of the hair play an important role in this care.

Split ends masks

First of all, the ends of the hair need to be moisturized and nourished so that they do not split.

Homemade masks for split ends

Hair tip masks are made to prevent split ends. It is important that such masks are applied along the entire length of the hair, because hair can be split not only at the ends, but also along the entire length.

All these masks can be done in courses 2-3 times a week, and to maintain the effect - once a week. Also, these masks can be combined with masks for hair roots and scalp.

1. Sour cream mask for dry hair

  • 2 tablespoons of sour cream;
  • 2 tablespoons of base oil (avocado, hemp, olive, flaxseed);
  • 1 yolk.

Beat the yolk well and add until sour cream and butter, apply the mixture to the hair before shampooing and leave for 30-40 minutes. After the lapse of time, I wash my head as usual.

2. Oil mask for moisturizing and nourishing hair

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon argan oil
  • 1 teaspoon jojoba oil
  • 8 drops of ylang ylang essential oil;
  • 5 drops of vitamins A and E in oil (sold at the pharmacy).

The proportions of the oil can be changed depending on the length of the hair. We mix all the ingredients, heat in a water bath in a glass dish. In a warm form, apply to the hair, stepping back from the hair roots (although this mask can be applied to the scalp, but I like it only for the length). We insulate the mask and leave it for at least 2 hours, or better overnight. The mask is washed off with shampoo (2-3 times). It is enough to do this mask once a week.

3. Mask for hair ends with henna

  • 2 tablespoons of henna (preferably colorless);
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon of brandy;
  • 1 yolk.

Add cognac, henna to honey and mix well, then add yolk, heat in a water bath. The mixture is applied to the length of the hair, for about one hour, it can be insulated. We wash off the mask with shampoo using a balm or mask.

4. Coconut mask for hair ends

  • 50% coconut oil;
  • 50% jojoba oil.

Mix the oils in a glass container and heat in a water bath. Apply the mask before washing your hair, for about 2-3 hours, you can insulate it with plastic wrap, and put on a warm hat on top. Then I wash my head as usual (shampoo, mask or balm).

5. Vitamin hair mask

  • 2 tablespoons of natural hair balm;
  • 1 ampoule of niacin;
  • 1 ampoule of aloe extract;
  • 1 ampoule of vitamin B12;
  • 1 ampoule of vitamin B1;
  • 3-5 drops of vitamin A and E in oil.

We wash my head with a gentle shampoo (without sulfates and silicones), it is better to take a neutral one, for sensitive scalp. Dry your hair with a towel for a few minutes. We mix all the ingredients of the mask and apply first to the scalp, and then distribute it on damp hair along the entire length, insulate it, you can also warm it up with a hairdryer for a better effect. We keep the mask for one hour and wash it off with shampoo, it is enough to do it once a week. For a full course of hair restoration and strengthening, 10 procedures are enough. The first 5 masks are done once a week and 5 more masks are done every two weeks. This mask is ideal for dry, damaged hair, and if the hair is normal or prone to oily, then the mask will be heavy and can weigh down the hair.

In addition, I want to tell you about my favorite care for the ends of my hair: I take any cold-pressed base oil, unrefined.Oils are ideal for hair ends: coconut, broccoli (this oil is a discovery for me), camellias, cocoa, pumpkin, macadamia, argan,jojoba, olive, linseed, sesame. I take any of these oils (and sometimes mix them), heat it up and apply it to my hair before going to bed (if I’m my head in the morning), paying good attention to the ends of the hair, and braiding it into a pigtail (very little oil is needed). Oils are completely absorbed overnight. In the morning, I wash my head with two washes of shampoo and apply a light moisturizing conditioner, since the hair does not need a mask, it is already nourished, moisturized, soft to the touch.

Hair end oils

All these masks have in common that they improve the condition of the hair and postpone the trip to the hairdresser:

  • hair nutrition, which subsequently improves its structure;
  • moisturizing and once again moisturizing the hair along the entire length, which prevents the appearance of dry and brittle hair;
  • strengthening weakened hair;
  • smoothing of the cuticle of the hair, as a result of which the hair looks shiny and smooth;
  • protection of hair from external environmental factors;
  • the overall appearance of the hair is improved.
