Why hair gets dry and damaged

There can be a lot of reasons why the condition of the hair is deteriorating, and there may even be several reasons at once and it is rather difficult to calculate them. These reasons can be conditionally divided into two groups:

Internal causes of hair deterioration. These are causes associated with internal problems of the body, for example, iron deficiency anemia, when the hair becomes dry and begins to fall out. As well as problems with the thyroid gland, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, gynecological diseases, hormonal imbalance, circulatory disorders, chronic diseases, prolonged use of medications, and, most often, improper unbalanced nutrition.

External causes of dry and damaged hair.External reasons include improperly selected hair care, severe stress or chronic stress, frequent dyeing and perms, using a hair dryer, ironing, curling irons, improperly selected comb, tight hairstyles, hairpins, hard water, which I wash my head with.

It is much more difficult to cope with the internal causes of the deterioration of the condition of the hair than with the external ones.

Dry damaged hair care

Hair care begins with what we eat, because it is with the blood that all the necessary nutrients that they need on a daily basis come to the hair. Therefore, you should eat a balanced diet, eat more seasonal vegetables and fruits, and be sure to eat meat every day, it contains a lot of protein, and protein for hair is the main building material. You should also drink plenty of pure water, without any additives, with the calculation of 30 ml of water per kg of body weight. Do not forget about physical activity, because it improves blood circulation, which in turn improves hair nutrition. You can also take a course of complex hair vitamins (twice a year, in late autumn and early spring).

Healthy hair also starts with a healthy scalp. The choice of shampoo plays a very important role here, it is recommended to have several shampoos in your arsenal, one for deep hair cleansing, which you use no more than once every two weeks and one for daily use. When hair is dry and damaged, look for lines that nourish, repair and moisturize.

Do not wash all your hair with shampoo, just soap the roots, and when you wash off the shampoo from your head, it will flow through your hair and rinse the length of your hair.

If your hair is dry and damaged, you need to take very gentle and thorough care for the length of your hair. Be sure to have a good professional hair mask from a regenerating or nourishing line in your arsenal.

Do a "thoroughly" mask once a week. Take a good restorative purchased mask, apply it to damp (towel-dried) hair, insulate it with plastic wrap and a woolen hat (make an insulating cap) and warm it all up with a hairdryer, then warm it up for 5-8 minutes and let it cool for another 15 minutes, then rinse well with running water ... So the mask penetrates better into the hair itself and works many times better.

Do not comb wet hair, but slightly damp and special combs. Also, you do not need to comb and touch them often. It is better to comb your hair well in front of the head wash, then after washing it will not be so tangled. Leave-in products: oils, serums, creams, fluids, crystals - are a mandatory step in the care of dry, damaged hair, as well as thermal protection before each blow-drying, and even better, use it as little as possible.
