Patchouli essential oil can be added to almost any homemade hair mask, but the oil works the most on masks that are designed for the scalp, here are some good recipes. In addition, the addition of patchouli oil to the mask improves mood, restores mental balance, and soothes the nervous system, which is very important for hair health.

Mask number 1

The mask strengthens the hair roots well, stimulates growth and prevents hair loss. You can do a course of 8-10 masks (twice a week) as a prevention of seasonal hair loss.

  • 2 tablespoons of red capsicum tincture;
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 drops of vitamins A and E in oil;
  • 3-5 drops of patchouli essential oil.

We mix all the ingredients in a glass container. Apply the mask along the partings to the scalp, you can apply your favorite base oil to the ends. We warm it with a shower cap or cellophane wrap, wrap it with a warm towel or you can wear a warm woolen hat. We hold the mask for about 40-60 minutes, and then wash my head as usual.

Mask No. 2

The mask is suitable for the treatment of oily scalp, besides it has good firming properties. When making this mask, be sure to apply a mask or balm to the length of your hair after washing, because the mask dries your hair.

  • 1 tablespoon of white clay;
  • 1/2 tablespoon of water (boiled);
  • 1/2 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • 3-5 drops of patchouli essential oil.

The mask is done before washing your hair. Dilute the clay with water to the consistency of sour cream (you can use a decoction of some herb, depending on the problem at hand), add the rest of the ingredients. Apply the mask to the hair roots and warm it for about 20-30 minutes. It is enough to do this mask once a week.

Mask No. 3

The mask helps to cope with hair loss, all of its components are aimed at strengthening and improving hair growth.

  • juice of one onion;
  • 1 teaspoon pepper tincture;
  • 1 teaspoon of burdock oil;
  • 5-8 drops of patchouli essential oil.

The mask is done before washing the hair, mix all the ingredients, and apply to the scalp along the partings. The mask must be insulated and held for 40 minutes to 1 hour, or longer. After washing the hair with shampoo (warm, but not hot water), apply a balm or mask, and be sure to rinse the hair with water with the addition of lemon juice, it will reduce the smell of onions (1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice per 1 liter of water or vinegar, plus more hair will shine). The mask is done 2-3 times a week, with a course of at least 1 month.

Mask No. 4

The mask nourishes the hair and makes it stronger. This is a very good mask that is suitable for both hair length and scalp. After the mask, the hair is shiny, the ends are nourished, do not stick out so much, dryness disappears and hair grows faster from such a mask with regular use.

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of burdock oil;
  • 1 teaspoon jojoba oil
  • 5 drops of vitamins A and E in oil (sold at the pharmacy);
  • 1 ampoule of aloe (sold at the pharmacy)
  • 5-8 drops of patchouli essential oil.

Oils and honey can be heated in a water bath, the mask is applied first to the roots, and then along the entire length, insulated, you can also warm it up with a hairdryer. You should keep the mask for 1-2 hours, then wash your head (2-3 times with shampoo) and it is enough to do it once a week.

Fortification of commercially available hair products with essential oil

If you don't have time to tinker with homemade hair masks, feel free to add patchouli essential oil to your finished hair products. Just remember that the oil must be added immediately before use, that is, add a few drops of oil to a portion of the shampoo or mask, and not to the whole bottle.

Shampoo (3-5 drops)... If each time you wash your hair, you add a few drops of oil to the shampoo, the hair will begin to grow faster, the hair roots will strengthen, and will also stop electrifying.

Balm, conditioner or mask (3-8 drops). Patchouli oil can also be added to hair length products, the number of drops depends on the length of the hair. With regular use, hair becomes stronger, splits and breaks less.
