Indian Amla oil for hair

Amla oil is a very popular cosmetic product in India, but now more and more this oil is becoming popular among European women (of course, Indian women have chic thick hair, this is the first thing that catches the eye, but I think there is also a merit of such an important factor as genetics).

Amla is an Indian gooseberry, a small tree that grows in almost all forests in India and even high in the mountains. It is one of the most healing plants that is widely used in Indian medicine and cosmetology. Amla is the richest source of vitamin C, it also contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, calcium, iron, copper, phosphorus and other micro and macro elements.

Amla is not an oil plant, oil is not squeezed out of it, therefore pure natural Amla oil does not exist in nature, 100% amla can only be in powder. Everything that we sell under the name "Amla Oil" is an infusion of dry powder of amla fruits in some kind of base vegetable oil (coconut, sesame, mustard oil). This does not make the product worse, just the beneficial properties of the plant material, that is, Amla, are added to the natural properties of the oil.

Amla oil is suitable for all hair types, including colored ones. Dabur amla oil is produced for dark and light hair. Pictured amla oil for blonde hair with jasmine. Despite its green color, it is suitable even for blonde hair, in the ombre style (does not dye it).

Amla oil for hair (review)Amla oil is produced under the brand name Dabur, an Indian firm, but made in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), Dubai. It can be bought at Ayurvedic supply stores. Oil with a volume of 200 ml., The smell is very specific, I can not even convey which one, similar to the oriental, but very suffocating and lasts a long time. The jar is made of plastic, with a wide neck, which is not convenient to use (too much is poured out).

amla in hair careAn approximate translation (for which oil): amla oil for damaged, split ends and brittle hair. The oil makes hair long, elastic, soft and shiny.

Amla oil composition

And now in detail composition: Paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil), Canola Oil (mustard oil), Elaeis guineensis oil (palm oil), Emblica officinalis, extract (Amla), Perfume Jasmine (jasmine flavor), Isopropyl myristate (emollient, makes skin and hair smooth and soft ), Phenyl trimethicone (silicone liquid), Cyclomethicone (silicone), Butyl methoxy dibenzoyl methane (UV protection), Rosmarinus officinalis Oil (rosemary oil), tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E in oil), Butylated hydroxytoluene I (antioxidant), C 61565 (dye), C.I. 12740 (dye).

Amla oil is positioned as natural, but if you look at the composition, in fact, the oil is a product with a cosmetic effect, and not a natural oil. Mineral oil, which is the first in the composition, that is, it is more than 40% in the product, forms a film on the hair and scalp, as well as silicones, which are also not in the last place in the composition. Therefore, I would not advise to apply this oil on the scalp, the skin will not be able to "breathe", and for the length of the hair - maybe.

How I use the oil: I heat the oil in glassware and apply it warmly on the length of the hair (from the middle to the ends), at least for an hour, or longer, it is desirable to warm it, then I wash it off with shampoo, the oil is easily washed off. After the oil, the hair looks nourished, I would even say that the oil thickens and makes the hair heavier, this is due to the fact that mineral oil and silicones envelop each hair and give shine. I understand that this oil does not carry any usefulness and treatment, but the cosmetic effect is good.

Yes, I agree, its composition is not very good, if it were not for silicones, it would be possible to apply it to the roots, many write that amla oil strengthens and accelerates hair growth.

I heard about this oil for a long time, but there was still no opportunity to order and try it. And then a month ago I finally bought it and began to use it regularly. What can I say: the oil is gorgeous and my hair, after using it, has improved. finally, they have become shiny, beautiful, it can be seen that they are being properly cared for. And I have such beauty, even though I dye my hair and before my hair was coarse, it was difficult to comb it. Now the opposite is true.
