How to keep hair thick at home?

The beauty of the hair directly depends on its density, and no matter what they say there, even if the hair is healthy, but there are three of them in two rows on the head, as in that joke about Baba Yaga, it is difficult to talk about the beauty of such hair. The density, color and structure of hair are genetically inherent in each of us, but sometimes we ourselves spoil our hair with diets, stress, improper care, dyeing. I have heard so many times: “I used to have thick, beautiful hair, but now…” and a list of why they are like this begins.

The main truth: how much hair we have genetically, we will have so much. But, you can still fight for an increase in density. Firstly, not all hair follicles immediately grow hair, some of them are at rest. Secondly, the hair breaks, splits and is depleted from improper care and lifestyle, from here and hair density is lost. And thirdly, you can improve the quality of hair with special salon procedures from which the density will increase (lamination, glazing, keratinization).

Our main task: to strengthen and improve the structure of the hair, from which the density of the hair should improve.

How to thicken your hair

A healthy body

The first step to start with is the state of our body as a whole. That is, healthy, beautiful hair begins with a healthy body.

First of all, try to balance your diet, from my own experience I know that the condition of the hair is affected by the work of the digestive tract. Try to include in your diet products useful for hair and drink 1.5-2 liters of clean water per day. Make it a habit to include at least one healthy product with every meal, for example, eat a few walnuts before lunch, and a spoonful of sesame seeds before dinner ... and you don't have to give up your favorite foods at all. Complete menu, rich in vitamins, micro and macro elements, will provide adequate nutrition to the hair follicles from which healthy hair will grow. After all, it is with the blood that all the nutrients get to the hair roots and nourish them with everything they need.

If you have problems with hair loss, you should definitely look for the reason for their loss, since hair loss is most often a signal of a disease of the body (thyroid, liver, gastrointestinal tract, gynecology, neurology).

And do not forget about complex vitamins for hair, especially during the off-season, when hair needs more nutrition from within the body. Lack of vitamins and minerals instantly worsen the condition of the hair, especially: vitamins of group B, vitamins C, A, E, zinc, iron, calcium, selenium, magnesium.

Do not forget about adequate sleep, physical activity and a balanced diet, because this is the lion's part of the job if you want to have healthy, strong and beautiful hair.

Scalp and hair care

If you want to start grooming your hair, start with the scalp. The scalp needs a thorough cleansing and not only shampoo, but also a deeper cleansing - peeling. As well as the skin of the face, the scalp must be periodically cleaned of dead cells that clog the pores and prevent the skin from breathing, as well as cleanse the skin of styling and care products that accumulate on the scalp. There are two options: you can cook peeling at home or use the ready-made ones:

When choosing a shampoo, focus on the condition of the scalp. You can learn more about how to choose the right shampoo for normal, dry and oily hair in this article:https://myhair.bigbadmole.com/en/uxod-za-volosami/kak-podobrat-shampun-dlya-normalnyx-suxix-i-zhirnyx-volos/... Today in stores there is a very huge selection of shampoos for every wallet and need (professional, medicinal, natural, soft, aggressive), but before you buy something, decide on the needs of your hair, if it is difficult for you to do this, then you can turn to a hairdresser for help ...

After each shampoo, use a conditioner or conditioner and a hair mask once or twice a week. The main task of the conditioner is to close the scales and facilitate hair combing, and the masks already act on the hair structure: they restore, nourish, moisturize.

The combs that you use are of great importance in hair care; they should not necessarily be natural, but certainly of high quality. And all the accessories you buy for your hair must be of high quality and not damage your hair.

For more information about the basic principles of hair care, you can read here.

To make your hair thicker, you can increase the amount or make it thicker. Today, the hair care industry offers a bunch of products that increase the thickness of the hair and make it thicker. Basically, these are silicone-based products that envelop each hair, due to which the hair looks denser or other substances that lift the hair cuticle and they look more luxuriant. And as for the second method - increasing the amount of hair (awakening sleeping follicles), then homemade masks will help us.

Homemade masks for thickening hair

Homemade masks with natural formulations strengthen hair very well, awaken dormant follicles and generally improve the condition of the hair. There are still a few nuances:

1. To see the result of such masks, they need to be done at least a month and most importantly systematically.

2. Home masks are time consuming.

3. Each time you need to prepare a fresh composition before applying.

4. It is not immediately possible to choose an optimal mask for yourself.

There are quite a few masks from which you can see a positive result on your hair, in more detail about such homemade masks, you can read here and here, and in this article, we have collected the most effective ones that improve the density of hair and accelerate its growth.

Mask with red pepper tincture and essential oil

  • 2 tablespoons of red pepper tincture;
  • 2 tablespoons of base oil (olive, jojoba, castor ...);
  • 5 drops of vitamins A and E in oil;
  • 3-5 drops of essential oil (bey, orange, lavender, rosemary ...).

We mix all the ingredients in a glass container. Also, in place of the base oil, you can use water (2 tablespoons), if there is no dry scalp, you can periodically do it for oily and normal scalp, and also alternate two options with oil and water. Apply the mask along the partings to the scalp, you can apply your favorite base oil to the ends. We warm it with a shower cap or cellophane wrap, wrap it with a warm towel or you can wear a warm woolen hat. We keep it somewhere from 40 minutes to 1 hour (it should warm up a little and pinch). Then wash off with shampoo, preferably twice. This mask can be used 1-2 times a week for no more than two months and take a break.

Bay essential oil mask

  • 1 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5-8 drops of bay essential oil.

Mix olive and mustard oil in a glass container and heat in a water bath, add essential oil to the heated mixture. Apply to scalp before washing hair. Try to keep your hair free of foam, varnish and other styling products before applying the mask. The mask needs to be insulated: wrap it with plastic wrap and insulate it with a woolen hat (you can take a steam bath or warm it up with a hair dryer for about 10 minutes) for at least one hour, or longer if you have time (you can leave it overnight). The mask is washed off with two washes of shampoo.

Sea buckthorn oil and Dimexidum mask

  • 2 tablespoons of sea buckthorn oil;
  • 1 teaspoon of Dimexide.

We mix oil with Dimexide and apply to the scalp, insulate and leave the mask for one hour, base oil can be applied to the ends of the hair. We wash off the mask with shampoo, sea buckthorn oil is heavy and does not wash off the hair well, at the end you can rinse with acidified water (vinegar, lemon: 2 tablespoons per liter of water). We make the mask for a month, and then take a break for a month.

Vitamin oil mask

  • 1 tablespoon of almond oil
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon of burdock oil;
  • 5-8 drops of vitamins A and E in oil;
  • 2 ampoules of Sitamin B12.

Mix all the oils in a glass container and heat in a water bath, add vitamins. Apply to the scalp, after which you can do a light massage (the remnants of the mask can be applied to the ends of the hair), insulate and stand for 1-2 hours, then rinse thoroughly with shampoo and apply a light balm.
