Lighten hair with folk remedies

If you want to lighten your hair a few tones, but do not want to spoil it with purchased, chemical dyes, then this article is for you. With the help of folk remedies, you can not only lighten, but also heal your hair. Your hair will become lighter, more shiny, soft and silky to the touch.

Lightening hair with these means will not be radical, from a brunette you will not turn into a blonde, but there will be a soft light lightening, because these are natural dyes. Lightening with folk remedies is more suitable for light brown hair or brown-haired women.

Cinnamon and honey for lightening hair

Today, cinnamon and honey are used not only in cooking but also in hair care. With the help of cinnamon and honey, you can lighten your hair by 1-2 tones, with regular use.

Hair lightening with cinnamon and honeyCinnamon scalp mask

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 yolk.

Mix all the ingredients in a glass dish that can be heated. Apply the mixture along the partings to the scalp, insulate and leave for 1-2 hours. Then I wash my head as usual.

Such a mask warms a little, thanks to cinnamon (this is a pleasant warmth, not like mustard or pepper tincture burns), which also helps to strengthen and accelerate hair growth.

Cinnamon mask for hair length

  • 3 tablespoons of cinnamon;
  • 2 tablespoons of honey (preferably liquid);
  • 4 tablespoons of balm or hair conditioner.

Mix cinnamon with honey until smooth, then add hair balm (do not use metal objects: spoon, bowl). Apply the mask to the length of the hair, stepping back a few centimeters from the roots, very carefully distributing it over the hair so that each strand is covered with the mixture. The mask should be insulated with a shower cap and a warm hat or towel. For the mask to work well, you need to keep it for 3-4 hours, and then rinse your hair well with shampoo. The longer you walk with such a mask, the better the result. This mask can be done once a week until you achieve the desired result.

Such a mask will not only lighten the hair, but will also give firmness and volume to the hair, nourishing it with the beneficial properties of cinnamon and honey, plus a pleasant smell of cinnamon that remains on the hair after the mask.

If you have dry, porous hair, you can add a tablespoon of flaxseed, olive or any other base oil to the mask.

How I brighten: first I put on a mask with cinnamon for the length and warm it well, after two hours, I remove the insulation and put on a mask with cinnamon for the roots and walk for about two more hours. At this time, I brew a strong infusion of chamomile and, to improve the effect, rinse my hair with a decoction of chamomile after all the procedures.

The result from the course of such masks with cinnamon is different for everyone, for someone the effect is pronounced and visible immediately, someone has a weaker effect or needs a longer time.

Lightening hair with chamomile and lemon

This method is more suitable for light or light brown hair, which will give them a golden hue, shine, and not an obvious lightening. Chamomile will help not only lighten hair, but also cope with dry scalp and dandruff, improve hair structure and visibly improve their health. Lemon has lightening pigments and is great for oily hair.

Rinsing hair with chamomile and lemon

  • 50 grams of dry chamomile (sold at the pharmacy);
  • 200 - 400 ml. water;
  • juice of half a lemon.

Fill the chamomile with boiling water and cook for another 10-15 minutes over low heat, cover with a lid and let it brew, when it cools down, you can strain. We wash my head as usual, with shampoo with balm or mask, then soak it with a towel so that the hair is not wet but slightly damp. Next, add lemon juice to the warm chamomile infusion and place it in a convenient bowl or saucepan. We put the hair in this infusion and keep it for 10-15 minutes.

All of these lightening methods wash the dye out of the hair.
