Properties and how to apply propolis tincture

To find out what is the use of propolis, you must first figure out what it consists of. The composition of propolis is based on various resins - more than 50%, about 30% of the composition is wax, 10% is essential oils and 10% is pollen and other substances. If you disassemble all these ingredients, then propolis contains vitamins, including group B, minerals, micro- and macroelements, which are vital for hair. And resins contain amino acids and protein, the main building material for hair. The combination of all these substances has a positive effect on both the scalp and hair length:

  • strengthens hair and prevents hair loss;
  • stimulates hair growth;
  • has antimicrobial properties, so the tincture can be used for dandruff;
  • restores weak and brittle hair;
  • reduces hair greasiness;
  • gives shine and strength to hair.

Propolis tincture is a product that will help strengthen hair, stop hair loss, stimulate growth and also restore the hair cuticle.

How to make propolis tincture at home

You can buy propolis tincture at the pharmacy and it is not at all expensive, but you can prepare the tincture at home on your own. For this we need propolis and alcohol.

If you make a tincture in the summer, then before you start grinding propolis, place it in the refrigerator for half an hour, because propolis is soft in summer and hard in winter.

Take propolis and grind it with a grater. Then place the propolis in a dark glass container and fill it with alcohol 1: 4 (1 part propolis and 4 parts alcohol). Stir the resulting mass well (for 10-15 minutes) and put in the refrigerator or a cool dark place. The tincture is infused for 5-10 days and do not forget to shake it periodically. When the tincture is infused, filter it through cheesecloth or a fine sieve, pour it into a dark container and the product is ready.

Lada

Propolis tincture, base oils and essential oils have replaced expensive salon care for strengthening hair in the off-season, I do a course of masks for 10-15 procedures in spring and autumn and have already forgotten what hair loss is. Hair of course falls out, but everything is within the norm, and I also drink Revalid vitamins, also in spring and autumn.

Propolis tincture is really a good inexpensive remedy for strengthening hair, but masks should be done with care if you have sensitive scalp. I did masks 3 times a week, before each wash, and dried my scalp, and I also have it sensitive, so now I use it with caution and be sure to add oil to the mask (usually olive or hemp).

Anna

I really accelerated hair growth with a mask with propolis tincture and added thickness. I went through two courses of masks and also drank folic acid and biotin. In three months I grew my hair, just as it didn’t grow back in half a year. I am very pleased))) but I think that everything in the complex helped. And of course, do not forget about the careful and gentle care of hair length.
