Olaplex for hair: what is it?

Olaplex products were developed in America by two chemists, they combined bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate, which, they claim, is able to restore broken disulfide bonds in the hair structure. That is, Olaplex is able to correct all hair damage at the molecular level.

And so, according to the manufacturers, the Olaplex system products contain an active ingredient that works at the molecular level. This ingredient connects the broken disulfide bonds in the hair structure, which are destroyed during negative influences:

• chemical - coloring, bleaching, perm.
• thermal - frequent drying with a hairdryer, use of an iron, curling iron.
• mechanical - the use of hard rubber bands, combing, wiping after washing.

That is, the Olaplex formula contains only one active ingredient. It reconnects and reinforces the disulfide bonds at the molecular level, which are responsible for the natural strength, elasticity and strength of hair.

Olaplex is free of silicones, sulfates, phthalates, DEA (diethanolamine) and aldehydes and never
not tested on animals.

Olaplex can be applied in two ways

1. With any coloring (lightening, toning) and even with a perm. It is used to protect against any damage. Olaplex prevents hair damage before, during and after hair dyeing, and it can be combined with any dye.

At first there were three products in the Olaplex system: protection concentrate, fixative cocktail and hair perfection elixir. And this year the system was supplemented with two more products: shampoo and conditioner "protection system".

No. 1 - Olaplex Bond Multiplier (concentrate protection).The first stage of the Olaplex system contains the active ingredient Olaplex in maximum concentration, it contains water and this active ingredient. The first stage is for adding to any dyes or applying active care services. Restores disulfide bonds and dramatically reduces hair damage.

Application features:

• Composition Olaplex No. 1 is added directly during the application of the chemical composition to the hair, in a dye or bleaching powder.
• Use less Olaplex for any dye lightening or covering difficulties.
• Use Olaplex # 1 only if you plan to cure your formulation for at least 10 minutes.
• Do not increase the concentration of the oxidant.
• If the staining consists of several stages, use # 1 at each stage, even if they follow directly one after the other.

No. 2 - Olaplex Bond Perfector (fixative cocktail). The second stage of the Olaplex system strengthens and completes the action of Olaplex No. 1, evens out the hair structure, provides strength, strength and shine to the hair.

• Apply to damp, towel-dried hair, comb through. The holding time is at least 10 minutes. For very damaged hair - without rinsing, reapply # 3 for at least 10 minutes. The longer the exposure time, the better the effect will be.

The hairdresser did not give me the home remedy number 3, as I later read, but it was supposed to prolong the effect of the salon procedure. Therefore, in general, I did not like the result.
